How Do I Love "LetsPlayMusic"? Let me count the ways!

Reasons I love LetsPlayMusic:

1) I can be as silly/goofy/crazy as I want - while teaching the serious subject of music theory.

2) I have an AMAZING group of students. Their parents are pretty awesome too! They love to learn - and are practicing very hard! Yahoo!

3) These kids learn through playing GAMES!! It's not "boring" - like sitting at a piano bench being lectured and drilled by your piano teacher.

4) 6-7 year olds are learning college level theory.... WOW!!

5) By the time these students graduate they are doing amazing things like: transposing music for one key to another, composing their own music piece, playing in 3 different keys, they've had ear training, can sing beautifully, have great rhythm, etc etc.

6) The classical puppet shows teach them to appreciate different kinds of music!

7) IT IS SO SO MUCH FUN!!

8) It is so satisfying when I see the lightbulbs come on - and they "get it."

9) I LOVE listening to my students play!
